Overview
Pathways Community Services has provided specialty mental health services to children, youth and their families living in Orange County since 1998. Our mission is to support children and their families to improve school, family and community functioning.
We treat children from birth to age 25 who have faced repeated obstacles in their lives due to a broad spectrum of social, emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges; such as depression and bipolar disorders, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, loss, and trauma.
Services
Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP)
CPP strengthens the relationship between a child (0 to 5) who has experienced trauma and the parent/caregiver in order to restore the child’s sense of safety, attachment, appropriate affect and improve the child’s functioning.
Recovery, Resilience, Reintegration (RRR)
RRR combines traditional mental health services with additional support. This program is especially designed for clients who have recently graduated from a Full Service Partnership or clients who do not quite qualify for FSP participation.
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
Weekly dyadic sessions in the clinic with parent and child ages l 8mos – 8 to improve the quality of the parent-child relationship and to teach parents the skills necessary to manage their child’s behavior problems.
Positive Parenting Program (Triple P)
For parents of children ages 2-12 and 12-18. Triple P can help to encourage behavior you like, deal with problem behavior, reduce conflict and keep your teenager safe.
Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP)
MAP is a mental health treatment approach for children and youth that draws from an online database of evidence-based practices and scientific information to improve the quality, efficiency and outcomes of our services.
Multidisciplinary Assessment Team (MAT)
Clinicians provide specialized assessment services for children and youth referred from the Department of Children and Family Services, including detailed reports and multidisciplinary meetings.
Nurturing Parenting Program (PPT)
This program targets all families at risk for abuse and neglect with children (birth to 18 years). It features activities to foster positive parenting skills with nurturing behaviors, promote healthy physical and emotional development, and teach appropriate role and developmental expectations. Lessons can be delivered in a home-based or office-based setting, or combination of home and office settings.
School-based Services
This school-based outpatient program specializes in providing mental health services to children and youth ages 3 to 18 (from school entry to graduation) with behavioral issues.
The Incredible Years (IY)
IY provides group classes for parents and children ages 5 to 8 with behavioral, social and emotional problems. Parents learn to promote competence, reduce behavior problems and strengthen family relationships.
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT)
Helps children and youth ages 4 to 17 and their parents/caregivers to overcome the negative effects of traumatic events. Treatment is short term and involves individual and joint sessions.
Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS)
Children at risk of placement in a RCL 12-14 group home receive one-on-one behavior modeling, structure, support and other services. Parents also receive education and parenting skills development.
Specialized Foster Care Services
Children and youth in the Child Welfare System who may be at risk of losing placement receive a range of mental health services in their homes and schools. Parents, caregivers and foster families receive education and support in caring for their children .
Full Service Partnership (located in our Pico Rivera facility)

This place (I had no clue about) is SO AMAZING!! Highly recommend. They took on someone who needed it the most, provided a roof over his head, someone to talk to, and administered his medication all along with the staff doing everything they can to make sure his transition to his new home was safe and smooth. I thank your amazing staff so much!!!
Amanda
I am very pleased with the services and staff at this office. We transferred care with a therapist that my son already connects well with and we couldn't be happier with the staff at this office. The level of professionalism by far exceeds the previous clinic we attended. This office is warm, welcoming, and always helpful.
Rachel
